100% Spanish Immersion for Early Language Development

At our daycare and preschool, Spanish isn’t just a subject; it’s the air we breathe. Our Spanish immersion daycare and preschool curriculum allows children to naturally acquire language during the critical early childhood years when the brain is most receptive.

We go beyond vocabulary.

We don’t just teach red is rojo. We teach physics, empathy, and art in Spanish. This creates a bilingual brain capable of higher executive function and cognitive flexibility.

We build lifelong curiosity.

Learning a second language early fosters a growth mindset. When a child realizes there are two ways to say everything, they realize there are multiple ways to solve any problem.

Cultural Learning Across the Spanish-Speaking World

An Education Without Borders

Every two weeks, our classrooms travel to a new Spanish-speaking country. We go beyond a simple geography lesson to learn about the culture of each country and what makes it unique.

A Thematic STEAM-Based Curriculum

We utilize a Thematic Approach because children learn best when information is contextualized. Instead of isolated facts, we build knowledge webs.

Thematic Units:

Whether it’s Los Animales or Cuidando el Planeta, themes provide a hook that makes learning memorable.

STEAM Curriculum:

Even our youngest learners engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

How STEAM Learning Works in the Classroom:

During a Fruits and Vegetables theme, children might predict which ones sink or float (Science), count seeds (Math), and paint with beet juice (Art).

Studies show that STEAM-based early childhood education improves critical thinking and problem-solving skills long before a child enters a formal laboratory setting.

NAEYC Accreditation:
The Gold Standard in Early Childhood Education

Rayito de Sol is proud to be NAEYC-accredited. This is the Ivy League of early childhood benchmarks.

What does this mean for you? Less than 10% of centers nationwide achieve this level of accreditation, which requires meeting 10 rigorous standards. The standards to meet range from teacher-child interactions to the physical environment and safety. Research consistently shows that children in a NAEYC-accredited program have better social skills and higher language proficiency scores than those in non-accredited care.

Preparing Children for Kindergarten Success

Don’t just hope your child is ready for kindergarten, have the peace of mind they are ready. Our curriculum is mapped directly to State Kindergarten Readiness Standards, ensuring your child is academically prepared for the next step.

Tracking Development Across Key Learning Areas.

We use standardized milestones to track your child’s progress in four key developmental areas:

  • Language and Literacy Development. Early literacy, numeracy and logic.
  • Social-Emotional Growth: Self-regulations, empathy, and classroom behavior skills.
  • Physical Development and Motor Skills: Fine motor (cutting or writing) and gross motor (movement) skills.
  • Bilingual Language Development: Fluency in Spanish and foundational understanding of English.

What Families Can Expect at Rayito De Sol

Our commitment to you is to keep you informed of your child’s growth and learning through daily updates via our Procare App, monthly newsletters that outline the themes and countries they will be studying, quarterly events that allow for parent participation, and biannual conferences that track their development.
